Captain Solara Bndis is leaving her family one last time for a three-month expedition before starting her new position at Cencom. The first stop is for a week-long trade conference on Dalos, the home planet of the Domain.
During her stay, Dalos is attacked by warships from an unknown force. Bndis is captured along with other delegates and is brutally beaten when she resists.
