The Stench of Seymour
In the surreal and unconventional tale of "The Stench of Seymour," meet Seymour, a socially awkward independent wrestling referee with a severe bed-wetting problem. This lonely man only wants one thing in life, and that is to get an audition with the big league wrestling promotion so that he can become a professional wrestling referee. If being a middle-aged bed wetter wasn’t horrific enough, Seymour’s life takes an unexpected turn one morning in the laundry room of his dilapidated apartment complex when he discovers an even more bizarre predicament… he has a demonic talking crotch.
Fumbling through his lonely existence and his nocturnal mishaps, Seymour finds himself navigating the surreal intersections of his life while being taunted relentlessly by his own demonic wise-cracking private parts. To complicate matters further, Seymour’s deceased mother, who died in prison while giving birth to him, is reincarnated as a cockroach so she can look after her son. As Seymour grapples with his personal and not-so-professional struggles, he somehow finds himself out on a date with a woman he has a crush on from the concession stand at the wrestling shows. “The Stench of Seymour” is a work of sensationalism, with a blend of absurdity and sorrowful horror, exploring themes of loneliness, persistence, and love. "The Stench of Seymour" is an offbeat and humorous journey that will leave readers both bewildered and utterly entertained.
