The Revenant's Mark

Stern Looking Man on Greenish Blue back ground

The Revenant's Mark

A dark historical fantasy novel set during the American Revolution

Jacob Hawthorne was hanged as a traitor—forgotten by the cause he fought for, buried in a shallow grave by those he fought against. But death didn’t keep him. The forest brought him back.

Now bound to an ancient and wild power, Jacob walks again as a revenant—something more than man, less than myth. Haunted by visions and a mysterious mark burned beneath his ribs, he joins two rebel soldiers on a perilous journey through war-torn colonies and spirit-haunted woods.

As the Revolutionary War rages, a secret faction known as the Golden Circle seeks to harness the power of the forest spirits for their own ends—twisting the old magicks into a weapon neither crown nor colony can stop. Jacob must reckon with what he’s become, what he was brought back to do, and whether the soul of a dead man can still choose the right side.

Epic in scope and grounded in grit, The Revenant’s Mark blends dark Americana, supernatural horror, and historical fiction into a haunting tale of war, identity, and the ancient forces buried in the soil of a still-fighting land.

Perfect for fans of Robert McCammon’s Speaks the Nightbird, HBO’s The Revenant, and the eerie mythos of The Witch.

Thoughts on my Thoughts V:

The TALES That Wagged This Veterinarian

“Life offers lessons in every moment—if we’re still enough to listen.”

A Reflection on Thoughts on My Thoughts V

In a world moving at lightning speed, it’s easy to overlook the gentle wisdom that often resides in stillness. Thoughts on My Thoughts V by Dr. Walter Hoge reminds us that God speaks not always in thunder, but in whispers—and it is in these quiet moments we find peace, clarity, and purpose.

The fifth volume in Dr. Hoge’s devotional series goes beyond traditional reflection. It becomes a heartfelt dialogue between the reader, scripture, and the soul. Each entry opens with a Bible verse and flows into personal insight, drawing meaning from everyday encounters, spiritual trials, and moments of grace. His reflections offer readers not conclusions, but invitations—opportunities to see the divine in the daily.

Dr. Hoge’s voice is humble and sincere, grounded in both scriptural understanding and lived experience. Themes such as perseverance, grace, humility, forgiveness, and divine timing shape this collection, making it a steadfast companion for those navigating a chaotic or uncertain season.

What sets this volume apart is its balance of honesty and hope. Dr. Hoge acknowledges the tension between faith and doubt, encouraging readers not to have all the answers—but to walk thoughtfully with the One who does.

“A mind-expanding collection that intertwines science, spirit, and the soul of service.” – Greg P.

Whether used as a daily devotional, a tool for deeper Bible study, or a source of personal reflection, Thoughts on My Thoughts V offers both comfort and challenge. It reminds us that every thought, no matter how fleeting, holds potential when brought before God—and every moment is a chance for transformation.

This isn’t just a record of Dr. Hoge’s reflections. It’s an open invitation to explore your own.

9 Steps to Build a Life of Meaning

Yellow book cover with Ancient Man with Club

In this urgent, heartfelt self-improvement memoir by leading founder and simplifier Rick Walker, you are offered 9 powerful steps to build the most meaningful life imaginable. This is your moment. Dr. Ben Carson calls this: “A profound, refreshing, and triumphantly hopeful way of thinking.” Imagine it: Unbeatable focus. Unstoppable passion. Incredible resilience. Honorable leadership. A flourishing family. And more-much more. Everything you need for a life of true and deep meaning. The once impossible is now accessible. In 9 Steps. Rick wants to rip away the comfort now enslaving your potential. He discovered the steps the hard way. Hidden where he least wanted to look: The abandoned genius of ancients. The hard-won wisdom of warriors. The overlooked art of the masters. And, not surprisingly, within his own failures. Most self improvement books are focused on happiness. However, this self help book for men is focused on something much more important: meaning. The steps in this book help men in their personal development and their purpose development. With a foreword by US Representative and Navy SEAL Dan Crenshaw, this high-energy calling uplifts men to the next level of their manhood. Dr. John Vervaeke praises this book: “I admire both Walker’s journey and this wonderful book that shares that journey with others so that they can undertake something similar.” To walk these steps is to undergo a profound evolution, as Rick personally experienced and now shares for the first time. Your personal journey begins now. Transformation starts with a single step. Dan Crenshaw- Foreword Bio: Dan Crenshaw is a former United States Navy SEAL officer now serving as the U.S. representative for Texas's 2nd congressional district. He is the New York Times bestselling author of Fortitude.

NAGA SATRIA – THE SERPENT’S HEIR

Book Cover Elaborate Sword Handle looking like a serpent

by KAL KAMEL
Imagine a world of volcanic islands, dense jungles, and shimmering turquoise seas. This is Nusantara, the 13th-century Southeast Asian archipelago, a vibrant maritime crossroads teeming with a thousand cultures. It was a world of immense wealth, where sprawling port cities were home to Javanese kings, Malay sultans, Bugis sailors, and merchants from Arabia and China. Here, empires were built on the spice trade, fleets of massive wooden ships ruled the waves, and the fate of kingdoms was decided by the monsoon winds.

Into this world steps Arya Suryanata, the grieving son of a legendary general from the Singhasari kingdom. He inherits not only his father’s command but also Naga Satria, a sentient, soul-bound keris (a distinctive dagger from Southeast Asia known for its asymmetrical and often wavy blade), a magic blade humming with the ancient power. His first command from the ruthless king of Singhasari is absolute: lead a fleet, find the defiant trading kingdom of Selat Kenchana, and break them.
But the King’s orders betray every principle of honor Arya was raised to uphold. He is torn between his duty as a soldier and the legacy of his father, a man who wielded power with wisdom, not just brutality.

As Arya's fleet navigates treacherous mangrove swamps, he finds himself in a shadow war against an unseen enemy. He is confronted not only Selat Kenchana's prideful war chief, but also by Melati, a beautiful, intelligent and enigmatic envoy who speaks of peace, forcing Arya to question if his king’s path is the only one.
Haunted by visions from the blade and tested by a power he can barely control, Arya must make a choice. The path of duty leads to destruction and a loss of his soul. The path of honor could be seen as treason. With the fate of kingdoms hanging on his command, Arya discovers that the most dangerous serpent he must master is not the one in his sword, but the one coiled around his own heart.
Background
The book was meticulously researched to bring the incredible world of 13th-century Nusantara to life. The politics, the real historical figures, the design of the ships, and the spiritual beliefs around the keris and the Nāga are all rooted in actual history and mythology. Being from Southeast Asia and from Malaysia in particular, my aim was to create a story that isn't a generic fantasy setting, but rather, a real piece of world history, a "hidden history" brought to life.
